Yohancy Kemp was our speaker last week and gave an educational presentation on digital marketing. Yohancy described Digital marketing as any marketing that uses electronic devices to convey promotional messaging. Yohancy described insights in social media and how we can use insights to tell us how our marketing is working and how we can improve it.
Yohancy also showed the differences between traditional marketing methods and digital marketing as well as the pros and cons of each. A large advantage of digital marketing that he pointed out is that one can reach many persons for a price that would be much cheaper than traditional methods such as print ads. You can also target your digital ads to be shown only to persons you want to see them or persons interested in topics similar to what you are selling or marketing.
We are now in the information age and everyone has a phone, tablet or other smart device that they use multiple times per day so digital marketing makes sense because we are putting ads on a medium that persons use frequently.
Yohancy took questions after his presentation and gave tips and ideas on how the club and others can improve their use of digital marketing.
